Compressed air leak detection with LEAKSHOOTER V2+

Film, view and photograph the precise spot where compressed air, steam, pressurised gas and vacuums are leaking using the LEAKSHOOTER®V2+. The LEAKSHOOTER®V2+  is a sophisticated tool mainly dedicated to compressed air leak detection . Extremely sensitive, it is this detector is able to find all leaks, even the smallest, including those no bigger than the size of a syringe needle, at a distance of 20 metres. Leaks can be detected in all types of industrial environment thanks to the possibility of adjusting the gain on the device to filter out all undesirable noise.

LEAKSHOOTER® LKS1000V2+ used with flexible probe

The LEAKSHOOTER® LKS1000-V2+ is used like a camera. When it comes near a leak, a dynamic white target appears on the large
colour screen. The target shrinks as it approaches the source of the leak. A bar graph at the bottom of the screen accompanies and facilitates the search.

When the device is facing the leak, a cross appears around the centre of the target. It is then possible to photograph and save the
precise location of the leak.

In addition, the LEAKSHOOTER® now has a touch screen.

In these new versions of LEAKSHOOTERS  LKS1000 V2+ and LKS1000V3+ we also added a new K function to evaluate the severity of a leak.

With LEAKSHOOTER® you can find easily compressed air leaks and even evaluate its size and severity thanks to button K on the keyboard.

We associate a color code to the estimated level of the leaks, from very little, YELLOW, to very big, RED.

HOW TO APPROXIMATE LEAK SIZE

To evaluate the cost of a compressed air leak :

Fonction K évaluation du coût des fuites

Function K severity of the leaks

Click on button K on the keyboard
Stand 1 meter from the designated leak
Insure that RMS value is not saturated. Check the bargraph, the cursor must not remain completely right.

If RMS is saturated, decrease progressively the GAIN.
A numbre of 0 to 100 associated to a color will appear. With this number and its associated color you can evaluate the severity of the leak.
To obtain a cost evaluation of the flow (m³/h) or the leak (€/year), reach MENU (pressing OK), under  icon K will appear different parameters and fields to fill-in such as compressor time of use (H/year)  and the cost of Nm³ compressed air, you can choose the currency.
