Ultrasonic inspection

Ultrasound is an acoustic vibration of too high a frequency to produce an auditory sensation. An ultrasound is a frequency greater than 20 000 Hz .

The human ear can perceive sound waves with frequencies between 20Hz and 20,000 Hz, which is why ultrasonic leak detection is useful.

Many phenomena generate ultrasounds such as:

  • compressed air and pressurised gas leaks,
  • vacuum leaks,
  • Fluid turbulence, steam traps
  • Bearing defects, greasing,
  • Electrical discharges, crown effect, on electrical installations.

Many other phenomena also generate ultrasound.

Imagine a device with which you can easily perform ultrasonic leak detection. With this tool you will be able to see and hear the ultrasound simultaneously in real time, while your plant is running.

SYNERGYS TECHNOLOGIES invented it. It’s called the LEAKSHOOTER®.

Compressed air is probably one of the most expensive components in your plant.

An additional compressor is often installed to compensate for air leaks.

Purchasing a LEAKSHOOTER® to go on the hunt for air leaks is an economical and effective way to improve your system performance.

The LEAKSHOOTER® will help you save energy.
